About Chasin' Insane

Chasin' Insane is a one-man-band hailing from Minnesota. Started out some years back in my pops living room. I was just getting started in recording my own music on an old Fostex 4 track tape recorder. After about a year or so pf playing with that I was introduced to Cool Edit by my pops And he showed me a place to set up my own website on the old MP3.com and I needed a name. After About 20 minutes of thinking about it I came up with the name. It seemed to fit my personality perfect. My music has evolved into a rendition of my name since then. I looked up the definition of 'insanity' and it seemed to fit even more to my music. To do the same thing over and over expecting a different result each time (or something to that effect). since those early days I have graduated to a wide variety of recording and editing software.

My music talent started out when I was 13 even tho I have been around it all my life I didn't buckle down until then with guitar and a little piano/keyboard. After a while I learned a little bit on the drums and a lot of other instruments to the point where I was able to create most all my stuff on my own. I still lack a little confidence in the vocal/singing department altho some have said I do fine. I figure tho someone has gotta do it why not myself. I did a little time with a former friend who did the vocals and lyric writing but we had a falling out about 4 years ago and I got stuck doing it all by my little lonesome again (awwww right.....hehe).
